At least one of the restaurants headed to a massive mixed-use project south of Austin is taking advantage of a suburban city's restaurant incentive program. The Kyle City Council on Dec. 20 approved incentives for Spoon + Fork Thai Kitchen, one of the many restaurants that will locate in new 7,000-square-foot buildings in the Kyle Crossing retail center off I-35 near Kyle Parkway. Dubbed "Project Jasmine," the restaurant was approved for a 100% sales tax rebate for the first three years. Officials said the restaurant will initiate roughly $50,000 in capital investment and hire at least a dozen employees.
